Cameron Town appointed to the External Reporting Advisory Panel (XRAP)

Silks Audit Director and audit partner Cameron Town has been appointed to the External Reporting Advisory Panel (XRAP) for a period of three years from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2024. He also attended his first meeting today in Wellington where they discuss new and emerging accounting and audit standard’s and engage with the External Reporting board (XRB) directly on the strategic direction of these issues. Congratulations Cameron.

Tokyo-bound swimmer takes out top Taranaki sports award

Olympic swimmer Zac Reid was the winner of the Silks Audit Sportsperson of the Year award at the Taranaki Sports Awards 2021. Reid, who will represent New Zealand at the Tokyo Games starting this month, won the top award – on Friday night, and was also named Senior Sportsman of the Year. In his absence due to pre – games preparations Zac’s parents accepted the award on his behalf.
