Cornell Mason Sponsorship

Silks Audit is proud to support Whanganui Touch Athlete Cornell Mason who is a member of NZ over 40s mens Touch Rugby Team. They recently competed in the 2017 Masters Trans-Tasman Competition in Caloundra Australia. 

We are Hiring!!

Silks is expanding! We are hiring a new Junior Auditor. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an accounting graduate to join the team at Silks. We are looking for someone with excellent time management, organisational skills and has strong written and oral communication skills.

Silks Audit Chartered Accountancy Ltd is an audit firm based in Whanganui. We have a range of clients across New Zealand and in Australia throughout a number of sectors including Companies, Maori Business, Forestry, Education, real estates and many others.

The role will involve:

  • Full time work - 37.5 hours per week
  • Preliminary work on Audits
  • Finishing small Audits
  • Administration duties
  • Traveling to clients across New Zealand

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

  • Have finished their degrees (or will be completed by December 2017)
  • Have sat the required papers to start the Chartered Accountancy program
  • NZ restricted or full driver’s license.

Te Manu Atatu Maori Business Awards

On the 1st of July the Whanganui Maori Business network hosted the Te Manu Atatu Maori Business Awards. Silks Audit was honoured to win the Service and Trade, Most Outstanding Established Business  and Te Manu Atatu Supreme Business award. As part of the entry requirements of the awards, Silks Audit was required to make a video outlining the business. Below is our video entry.

Silks Audit would like to welcome to the team James Hoskin, Lisa Wells & Hamish Johansen. James joins Silks after studying a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Commercial Law at Victoria University, Lisa studied a Bachelor of Accountancy through Massey University and Hamish a Bachelor of Business Studies Majoring in Economics and Bachelor of Accountancy through Massey University.  We are sadly farewelling Amanda Foulkes who started at Silks in January 2015.  Silks Audit wishes her all the best for her future.
